Thank you!

Our Indiegogo campaign ended last night. We raised $1270.00! After Indiegogo takes its cut, we ended up with a total of $840.40.

What a great start towards our funds to restore our dependencies!

Brett, Hurley and I wish to thank each and every person who contributed, shared our campaign and blog, visited the Indiegogo site to help us build merit points, left words of encouragement, for your thoughts and prayers and have chosen to follow our journey as we bring this plantation back to life!

It has meant so much to all of us!

We still have a long way to go! We are still working out the terms of our contract. Once that is done, we start the zoning package and approval process. While that is going, we have to get the building codes checked and health and safety inspection done so we can get our occupancy permit. Sadly, we aren’t going to be open in September as we hoped. But we want to do what is needed and right so we open clear and ready to go.

We hope that you will continue to follow our journey! There is so much more history I have to share with you. And you know we will be traveling around doing our “research” during this time to make Belle Grove Plantation bigger and better than ever!

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

  1. Congratulations on your fundraising!

I can’t wait to stay at Belle Grove Plantation when it officially opens! I went to the James Madison Museum today and I’m looking forward to learning more about his birthplace.

  2. Thank you! We are so excited to get this open! We hope to see you soon!
