Mother’s Day Tea
Having Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea served at Belle Grove Plantation has become an annual event for many families and friends. The beauty of our National Register of Historic Homes with beautiful tables of flowers and fine china. Each Table will be a private seating with up to 8 people per table with a 2-person minimum. We will have 5 rooms with tables available at 11am or 1pm for a one-hour teatime. We will be serving in our parlor, formal dining room, tearoom, library or upstairs grand hall at 11am or 1pm.
Scones, Tea Sandwiches and Petite Delights are served with a pot of our Exclusive Belle Grove Plantation Tea Blends.
Your tickets include a tour of our Historic Mansion. We do have a ramp to enter the mansion from the front and have an elevator to assist those with disabilities. Chairs are available throughout the mansion for those who are unable to stand for long periods. The tour is one hour and will cover the history of Belle Grove’s previous families, architecture and furniture history.
Tables – Available at 11am or 1pm
Parlor – up to 4 – $55.00 per person
Formal – up to 14 – $55.00 per person
Tea Room – up to 8 – $55.00 per person
Library – up to 8 – $55.00 per person
Upstairs Grand Hall – up to 8 – $55.00 per person
Tea Reservations are One Hour Only. Tours take One Hour.
We ask that you please bring gratuity in cash for our staff. We ask you to consider an 18% gratuity as our staff will be giving up their special day with their moms to be here for you.
There are two Belle Grove Plantations in Virginia. It is important that you know the correct address before you come. Please use our address below when using your GPS. Don’t just put Belle Grove Plantation. It will not give you the correct address.

The other Belle Grove Plantation is in Middletown, Virginia and is 2 hours from our Belle Grove. If you go the wrong Belle Grove Plantation, we are sorry, but we cannot give you a refund or rain check. Please make sure it is correct before you come.
The dress code is up to you. Be comfortable or dress up for mom!
We do ask that you please do not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes before your reservation time. We have limited spaces for people waiting and we want to be sure we take care of those during their time with us. Our door will not open, even for the restrooms before 12:45pm. Please be kind. If you arrive early, you may walk the grounds or wait in your car. Please do not come to the door early or we will ask that you wait outside.
Your headcount will be as booked. If you need to decrease or increase your headcount, we can do so 7 days or more before the event. If your count changes 6 days or less, you will be responsible for the full amount no matter how many come.
Due to the nature of Afternoon Tea, we are sorry, but we are not able to accommodate gluten-free, sugar free or dairy free diets.
You may cancel your Mother’s Day Tea up to April 13th for a full refund. On or after April 9th, tickets are non-refundable. You may sell your tickets, but we must know who you are selling them to before you sell them.
