Living History – James Madison Birthday Tea Celebration
It’s March 1823 and Former President James Madison is now retired from the Office of President of the United States. He has retired to his beloved Montpelier with his wife Dolley. In his retirement, Madison is occasionally involved in public affairs and offers advice to his friend, President James Monroe. Mr. Madison have received a special invitation to Belle Grove Plantation, his mother’s family home from 1670 to 1790 and his birthplace in 1751 to return for his 72nd birthday.
We invite you to join us for this Living History Experience at Belle Grove Plantation. Former President James Madison has invited you to join us for afternoon tea.
Enjoy delicious delights with scones, tea sandwiches and petite dessert. For this afternoon tea in honor of Mr. Madison’s attendance, we will be serving our Exclusive Tea Blend, “Miss Dolley’s Sugar Plum Tea.
This is a great event for school and home school children as well as adults!
Afternoon Tea with Mr. Madison for Saturday, March 4th or Sunday, March 5th – $45 for Adults / $25 for children 12 years and under
The dress code is up to you. Be comfortable or dress up!
We do ask that you please do not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes before your reservation time.
Due to the nature of Afternoon Tea, we are sorry, but we are not able to accommodate gluten-free, sugar free or dairy free diets.
You may cancel your Tea up to February 4th for a full refund. On or after February 4th, tickets are non-refundable. You may sell your tickets, but we must know who you are selling them to before you sell them.
We try to keep family and friends together. If your party are purchasing tickets separately, please let us know on you second confirmation email who is in your party so we can plan. If you do not let us know in advance, we will not be able to move you the day of the event.
